Wan Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met in Beijing Monday with a delegation of the Papua New Guinea National Alliance Party.
Wang expressed his hope that the two countries would jointly push forward the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations through increasing party-to-party exchanges.
The delegation was led by Don Polye, the party's vice chairman and minister for transport and civil aviation of Papua New Guinea.
Don Polye said the National Alliance Party and the government of Papua New Guinea are grateful for the generous help and support from the CPC and China and are willing to further the friendly exchanges and cooperation in all spheres.
