Iran condemns "inhumane" car bombings in Baghdad
font size

Iran strongly condemned the fatal explosions in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on Wednesday, terming them as the "inhumane moves against the Islamic and humane values and principles."

Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi voiced outrage at the terrorist acts and condoled with the Iraqi government and people, the official IRNA news agency reported.

The spokesman also expressed hope that "through positive measures and prudent cooperation among all the Iraqi people, the grounds and root causes of such terrorist and inhumane approaches would be eliminated and Iraq would move toward stability, further security and development."

Three suicide car bombs exploded at a bus station near a hospital in Baghdad early Wednesday morning, killing 43 people and wounding 76 others.
