font size

At least four suspected militants were killed in clashes with Saudi security forces in the capital Riyadh on Thursday, security sources said.

Saudi security forces surrounded a house in a district in northern Riyadh and clashed with a group of militants.

Interior Ministry spokesman Mansur al-Turki confirmed the operation.

Saudi Arabia, a key world oil producer, has launched a campaign to quell elements of the al-Qaida terror network.
