Egypt detains fourth suspect linked to Sharm el-Sheikh bombingsEgyptian security forces have detained a fourth suspect linked to the Sharm el-Sheikh bombings, a security source said Friday. Hassan el-Arishi, 25, was arrested late Thursday in the northern Sinai peninsular, the source said. Earlier on Sunday, Egypt's semi-official Al Ahram Arab daily reported that security forces had arrested three suspects linked to the July 23 Sharm el-Sheikh bombings, Acting on a tip-off, security forces raided a Palestinian-owned farm in Al-Arish, some 260 km northeast of the capital Cairo. They uncovered a ton of explosives and detained a guard on the farm who led the police to the other suspects, said the report. A string of deadly bombings rocked the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on July 23, killing at least 64 people. Suspecting the attacks were carried out by a home grown terrorist cell in the Sinai area with international support, Egyptian security forces have since launched a massive manhunt in the region.
