font size

The Israeli army alleged Monday that Palestinian militants opened fire at its posts near Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip, Israel Radio reported.

An Israeli army spokesman was quoted as saying that a homemade mortar shells was fired at the settlements of Tal Qatif and Kfar Darom in southern Gaza Strip, slightly wounding at least one Israeli soldier.

Another Israeli soldier was also injured on Sunday night by Palestinian militants at the Naveh Dekalim settlement west of the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis, added the spokesman.

However, security sources from the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) said that they didn't receive any reports from the field on militants' fire at Israeli army posts.
