The Indonesian government plans a major reshuffle in state-run oil and gas firm Pertamina within two weeks, a senior official said Tuesday.
"We hope it (reshuffle) will be completed within one or two weeks from now," State Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Sugiharto told reporters here.
He said around 20 candidates for Pertamina's board of directors are now awaiting approval from a jury headed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
Calls are mounting for a succession in Pertamina due to recent fuel shortage and a sharp decline in national oil production.
Indonesia's average output hovers around 1 million barrels per day, far below a 1.4 million barrels quota from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, in which Indonesia is a member.
