| Chinese leaders in Shenzhen |
|
 On April 11, 2003, Chinese President Hu Jintao visits Shenzhen hi-tech park during his inspection tour to Guangdong Province.
 China's late leader Deng Xiaoping, the chief architect of China's reform and opening-up, takes a photo with his family at the Potala Palace in Shenzhen in his inspection tour to south China in January 1992.
 In January, 1984, late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping made an inspection tour to the three pilot special economic zones including Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Xiamen. On January 26, he wrote an inscription for Shenzhen, which reads: the development and experience of Shenzhen has proved that China's policy of building special economic zones is right.
 On Nov.14, 2000, former Chinese President Jiang Zemin unveils the statue of late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping at the Lotus Mountain in Shenzhen. He wast here for the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Shenzhen as a special economic zone.
 In July, 2003, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited Shenzhen.
