Beijing subway train catches fire
font size

A compartment of a subway train caught fire Friday morning in Beijing, causing about an hour operation halt of the loop line, but no casualty was reported.

The sources with Beijing Subway Company said the fire was caught at 7:23 a.m. at the Hepingmen Station due to the wire short-circuit of the ventilation fan.

The company immediately evacuated the passengers and stopped the running of the line, which was resumed at 8:13.

Further investigation into the accident is going on.
