The Beijing Olympic Games will be more secure and successful, Greek Defense Minister Spilios Spiliotopoulos said at a press conference Tuesday.
Greece would like to provide all experience and information on Olympic security to China and cooperate with the Chinese government during the 2008 Beijing Olympic games, Spiliotopoulos said.
"Recently the Minister of Culture of Greece signed a memorandum of understanding between the government of China and Greece for the establishment of a joint committee for Olympic related matters," Stelios, a Greek communication counselor added.
"So all this know-how will be transferred and exchanged throughthe joint committee," Stelios said, "which will also be part of the defense know-how to contribute to the Beijing Olympic Games."
Spiliotopoulos was invited by Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan.
"I found Greece and China have a lot in common on many international issues. The two countries will have closer cooperation in the future," Spiliotopoulos said.
