EU senior official arrives in Beijing

European Union Council Secretary-General Javier Solana Madariaga arrived in Beijing Monday morning for the upcoming eighth China-EU summit.

During his one-day stay in Beijing, Solana will attend the Sino-EU summit and meet with Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan. Besides Beijing, he will also visit China's economic hub of Shanghai.
