Chinese Premier stresses sustainable development at 21st Century Forum

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao made a speech on sustainable development in a scientific way at the 21st Century Forum' 2005 on Monday in Beijing.

Sponsored by the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the forum focuses on Sustainable Development - China and the World.

Chinese President Hu Jintao sent a letter to the forum giving his regards and congratulations to delegates from different countries and regions around the world.

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the opening ceremony of the three-day forum, which lasts from Monday to Wednesday.
