Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat slammed on Tuesday an Israeli decision to build 3,000 housing units in a West Bank settlement.
Erekat told Voice of Palestine that this move will obstruct efforts to revive the long-stalled Mideast peace process.
"This decision indicates that Israel is determined to undermine all chances exerted to resume the talks on the final status issue with the Palestinians," said Erekat.
Israeli Deputy Defense Minister Zev Boeim said earlier that Israel is intending to construct 3,000 housing units in the West Bank settlement of Ariel.
However, government and security sources denied the decision.
