font size

A British embassy spokeswoman said Wednesday there were no British diplomat or military casualties in Iraq's southern city of Basra.

"No British national involved in the incident this morning in Basra," the spokeswoman told Xinhua without elaboration.

Foreign media reports said earlier that a roadside bomb exploded Wednesday near a British diplomatic convoy in Basra, killing four people without knowing their nationalities.
