Typhoon Talim kills 124 in China

Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs announced on September 7 the damage caused by typhoon Talim. By 4:00 pm September 7, the typhoon No. 13 "Talim" had affected 19.301 million people in six provinces of Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Henan and Hubei.

124 people died and another 31 were missing. 1.836 million people were evacuated; 97,000 houses collapsed and another 277,000 were damaged. 1.261 million hectares of crops were affected, including 262, 000 million hectares of total crop failure; the direct economic loss has reached 15.42 billion yuan.
