Two flights canceled in HK owing to typhoon
font size

Two flights between Taiwan and Hong Kong have been canceled as typhoon Khanun approaches northern part of Taiwan, Hong Kong Airport Authority said Saturday.

The flights involved are Flight CI619 from Taipei to Hong Kong in the evening and Flight CI620 from Hong Kong to Taiwan early in the morning.

According to reports reaching here from Taipei, typhoon Khanun has drifted north of its earlier projected path and will likely skirt the northern tip of Taiwan.

However, the northern and northeastern parts of Taiwan, including Ilan, Keelung and Taipei, should guard against strong winds and heavy rains, they said.
