Yushchenko to focus on economic development
font size

Ukraine will form a pragmatic government and concentrate its efforts on economic development, President Viktor Yushchenko said on Sunday.

The new government will concentrate on fixing the errors of the last two months and focus on economic development, said the president, who sacked Ylia Tymoshenko's government Thursday.

A commission of business representatives will also be formed to formulate measures to spur economic development, Yushchenko said.

The president said he believed he made the only right choice when he sacked Tymoshenko's government. He hopes the new government will regain public trust.

As for Tymoshenko, Yushchenko said she made several decisions against national interests and pushed the country to the verge of a serious conflict
