Chinese Mideast special envoy to visit five countries

Wang Shijie, China's special envoy on the Middle East issues, will visit Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Egypt and Morocco starting from Sept. 14, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang announced in Beijing Tuesday.

Wang will exchange views with the parties concerned on the issues including the current Middle East situation and the promotion of the peace process, Qin said at a regular press briefing.
