Palestinians need link between Gaza, West Bank: AbbasPalestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas said Monday that the Palestinians need a link between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank after a complete Israeli withdrawal from the strip. Abbas said that there should be a link between the Gaza Strip and the West Bank in order to link the destiny of the two places. "After we finish with Gaza, there are lots of issue that need to be resolved in the West Bank, mainly settlements, separation wall, borders, Jerusalem, refugees and prisoners in Israeli jails," Abbas said. Abbas made the remarks after he chaired a meeting with all Palestinian security chiefs in Gaza City following the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the strip.
