Palestinian, Israeli officials meet after Israeli Gaza pullback
font size

Senior Palestinian and Israeli officials held on Sunday night a meeting at Erez crossing in northern Gaza Strip, the first since a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip earlier this month, Palestinian sources said Monday.

The Palestinian delegation was headed by Suleiman Helles, chief of national security, while the Israeli delegation was headed by former chief of the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip Aviv Kokhavi.

The meeting discussed several security and military issues that concern the two sides.

The two sides agreed to continue military and security coordination on issues related to imposing security and control on the border.

Meanwhile, an Israeli army spokeswoman said that the Israeli side handed over maps of infrastructures that Israel left in the strip to the Palestinians.
