Mexican president announces death of public security minister

Mexican President Vicente Fox Wednesday evening announced the deaths of Public Security Minister Martin Huerta and several other top officials as a result of the crash of a helicopter that tranported them.

At the Presidential Residence of Los Pinos, Fox announced the deaths of Huerta and Federal Police Commander Tomas Valencia, in the crash of the helicopter that took them from Mexico City to the high-security prison of La Palma, in Mexico state.
