Israeli Apache attack helicoptersfired three missiles at militant targets in the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis around midnight Saturday, Palestinianwitnesses and security sources reported.
They said that one missile hit the house of Zeyad Abu Hayya, aleader of al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of dominantFatah movement, adding that it also damaged a workshop used by themilitant group to make homemade rockets.
Two militants of the group Hassan al-Qassas and Maher el-Farrasurvived the second missile attack on the house of al-Qassas.
Maher el-Farra told reporters that they heard the buzz ofhelicopters and immediately ran out before the missile hit thehouse, causing severe damage.
Witnesses said that the third missile landed into a cemetery inthe area.
There was no injuries in the air raids.
An earlier air strike killed at least two militants from theradical Hamas movement who were driving through Gaza City.
