Palestinian, Israeli hold talks on future of Gaza
font size

Officials from Israel's Labor Party and the ruling Palestinian party Fatah met Wednesday to discuss the future of the Gaza Strip after an Israeli pull-out, Radio Sweden reported.

Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister Nabil Shaath and Israeli cabinet minister Haim Ramon led their respective delegations.

The talks were held at the headquarters of the Swedish Social Democrat party (SSD). SSD officials were also present at the talks.

A similar meeting of the three parties was held in January last year.

The delegations were said to represent political groups, rather than their governments.
