China, South Korea split relay titles at World Cup short track

South Korea and China won the men's and women's relay races respectively at the World Cup Short Track Speedskating here on Sunday, the last day of the first stage of the World up series.

In the women's 3,000m relay, China, consisted of dual Olympic champion Yang Yang (A), Wang Meng, Fu Tianyu and Cheng Xiaolei, clocked four minutes 14.931 seconds for the top honor, beating off South Korea in 4:17.292 and Canada team 4:17.697.

This is the Chinese women's fifth gold medal in the tournament.Early on Sunday, Wang Meng won the 1000m to finish her gold medal sweep. The 20-year-old also claimed the 500m and 1500m champions during the three-day World Cup.

In the men's relay, South Korea, led by world No.1 Ahn Hyun-Soo,edged China by 0.444 seconds at 6:52.067 and Canada was third in 7:01.705.
