The death toll of the deadly blasts ripping through cafes in Kuta Town Square and Jimbaran Beach on Saturday was revised as 27, and the figure could still rise as forensic team was attempting to identify six bags of body parts, medical source said on Monday.

"Of all the twenty-seven bags of bodies, eighteen have been identified, three contained only heads and six others are still unidentified," spokesman of the island's biggest hospital Sanglah, named only as Suteja, told Xinhua.

He said that forensic team was identifying whether the body parts in the six bags belonged to more victims.

Earlier, provincial Police Chief I Made Mangku Pastika asserted that three heads belonged to the suicide bombers whose bodies were shattered right after the bombings as they put the explosives on their bodies.

Meanwhile, according to the latest data from Sanglah, 47 of the wounded returned home on Monday and 75 others still stayed in hospitals.

Bali is the country's most popular destination for foreign tourists. In October 2002, a major bombing here killed 202 people, most of whom were foreigners.
