| Frenchman, two Americans win 2005 Nobel prize in chemistry |

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced on Oct. 5, 2005 that French Yves Chauvin and Americans Robert H. Grubbs and Richard R. Schrock won the 2005 Nobel Prize in chemistry, in Stockholm, capital of Sweden. The three scientists won the 2005 Nobel Prize in chemistry for their development of the metathesis method in organic synthesis, the academy said.
