A top Palestinian official said Sunday that Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei is holding consultations with several parties to end the current crisis in forming a new cabinet, the "Voice of Palestine" radio reported.
Samir Hleilah, Secretary General of the Palestinian cabinet, said that Qurei started his consultations with members of the cabinet and the Palestinians Legislative Council (PLC), hoping to reach an understanding to get out of the crisis.
"There's a real danger related to the political position as well as the security issue that still needs to be tackled," Hleilah said, considering that the cabinet's reassignment is an uncertain issue yet.
"In the coming days we will overcome this crisis and reach a solution that satisfies all sides," Hleilah underlined, adding that there are solutions other than cabinet's reassignment are under study.
