The Dutch national football team finished their World Cup qualifying match with Macedonia with a disappointing 0-0 on Wednesday night after it sealed a World Cup finals place at the weekend.
With a 2-0 away victory against traditional rival Czech over the weekend, the Dutch has topped Group One with 32 points from 12matches, clinching a place in Germany next year.
However, fueled up by the marvelous victory of the team, as many as 50,000 fans poured into the stadium on Wednesday, hoping to watch a celebrations on the Dutch's road to Germany.
Nevertheless, to the disappointment of the Dutch fans, Marco van Basten's team failed to pile on the goals.
It was the second time the Dutch had been held to a draw by theMacedonians in the qualifying tournament after a 2-2 scoreline in Skopje last October.
The result was also van Basten's 16th unbeaten match since taking charge of the national team in August 2004.
During the Wednesday's match, Chelsea's Arjen Robben was missing from the line-up with a knee injury while Robbie Van Persie and Ruud Van Nistelrooy created their side's best openings.
But the best chance fell to Wesley Sneijder, whose 79th minute shot was stopped by goalkeeper Petar Milosevski.
Van Basten agreed that it had been a lackluster performance from his side.
"It's disappointing because we had wanted to put on a show to celebrate our qualification," he said.
"I can understand the crowd's reaction at the end of the game. We just didn't get it all together," he added.
