The Shenzhou-6 spacecraft, China's second manned space mission, has made the 36th orbit around the Earth by 16:00 p.m. Friday, after flying in space for 55 hours.
Launched at 9:00 a.m. sharp on Wednesday, Shenzhou-6 with two astronauts on board have seen 36 times of sunrise and sunset on a trip that goes 1.51 million km so far.
They, apparently in good condition in video pictures transmitted back from space, have finished a series of scientific experiments as planned. The capsule, flying at 7.8 km per second, successfully changed its trajectory from an oval one to a round one on its fifth orbit.
At 5:56 a.m. Friday, rockets were fired to readjust the capsule's slightly deviated orbital path as it was found to have been dragged closer to Earth by gravity.
