Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa met on Wednesday in Cairo with Saad al-Hariri, the son of the slain former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Hariri.
Saad al-Hariri, a member of parliament and leader of the Future bloc, said after the meeting that everybody would like to know who killed his father.
Asked whether he wanted an international trial for those who perpetrated the crime, Hariri said that he did not want to level accusations before the release of a report by Detlev Mehlis, the head of a UN inquiry into the assassination of Hariri.
He added that both Syria and Lebanon should have better relations after Syria withdrew its troops from Lebanon in late April in line with a UN Security Council resolution.
Syria also rejected charges of involvement in the killing of Hariri who died in a car bomb blast in Beirut on Feb. 14.
Hariri arrived here early Wednesday and would also travel to Saudi Arabia for talks with the kingdom's leaders.
