Hungary's Olympic Committee sacked its general secretary Tamas Ajan on Friday after a hearing on three weightlifters disqualified at last year's Olympics in Athens, state news agency MTI reported.
The committee voted 15-0 to dismiss Ajan, also president of the International Weightlifting Federation and a member of the International Olympic Committee.
Ajan had been giving evidence on the expulsion of the weightlifters from the 2004 Games, MTI reported.
Ferenc Gyurkovics was stripped of his silver medal in the 105- kg category in Athens after a positive test for a banned steroid. Two other weightlifters, Zoltan Kovacs and Zoltan Kecskes, also committed doping offences.
