Cambodia opens consulate general in southwest China
font size

Cambodia opened a consulate general Friday in Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

"Guangxi is an outpost of the China-ASEAN free trade area and a vital showcase in Cambodia-China cooperation. The opening of Cambodia's consulate general will further promote China-Cambodia cooperation," Khek Lerang, Cambodian ambassador to China, said at the opening ceremony.

China and Cambodia forged diplomatic ties in 1958. Prior to Cambodia, Vietnam has already set up a consulate general in Nanning.
