Palestinian Minister of Civil Affairs Mohamed Dahlan will return to the Gaza Strip on Saturday after recovering from muscles and nerves pain, sources close to Dahlan said.
Dahlan, 44, has been suffering from severe muscles and nerves pain for several weeks and spent the last four weeks receiving proper treatment in several Arab and European hospitals, said the sources.
Dahlan is expected to arrive at the Rafah Crossing on the Gaza- Egypt border on Saturday afternoon, said the sources, adding that he will be received by his supporters, relatives and friends.
Meanwhile, a popular festival will be organized on his honor and he will give a speech on his one-month treatment as well as the current political situation, according to the sources.
Dahlan was in charge of the coordination work on the Palestinian side ahead of the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and northern West Bank, which completed on Sept. 12, marking the first Israeli pullout from the Palestinian territories it captured in the 1967 Middle East War.
