A senior member of the Fatah Central Committee said on Saturday that dialogue is held between the Fatah and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to create favorable atmosphere in the Palestinian arena.
Zakareya al-Agha told the Voice of Palestine that dialogue is held between the Fatah and other factions, mainly Hamas, to remove all obstacles.
"We need to be well prepared when all the factions are preparing for the legislative election due on Jan. 25, 2006," he said.
Meanwhile, Hamas spokesman Musheer Al-Masri said there is harmony between Hamas and the Fatah to calm down the situation and ease tension that prevailed in the Palestinian territories.
On a deal of honor reached Monday night about banning use of arms during the election, Al-Agha said, "I believe that there must be a covenant of honor for all national and Islamic factions, the deal of honor is a good deal and we hope that Hamas and Jihad ( Holy War) will sign it after removing some articles of the text."
Leaders of 12 Palestinian factions signed the deal as both Hamas and Jihad boycotted it.
