PNA bans hunting migratory birdsPalestinian health minister Zuhni al- Waheidi announced on Sunday that the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) decided to ban hunting migratory birds, mainly quails, that pass through the Gaza Strip. Al-Waheidi told reporters that the ban on hunting wild birds was imposed to avoid infection of the newly spreading bird flu. He said that the PNA has taken all possible measures to protect the Palestinian territories from the pandemic. He added that the PNA is keeping contact with neighboring countries, including Israel, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan to fight the disease. He said that the PNA urged other countries to provide the Palestinians with all needed medicine in case of being infected with the disease.
