A car bomb went off in Baquba, 60 km north of Baghdad, killing at least 20 and wounding 25, reports reaching here said.

An Interior Ministry source confirmed to Xinhua that "the car bomb exploded in a crowded place in al-Huder, north of Baquba. The bomb, which was disguised by grass, was hidden in the back of a pickup."

The incident took place minutes before the start of evening prayers and the breaking of the day-long Ramadan fast, witnesses said.
