Palestinian militants fired on Sunday night two homemade rockets from northern Gaza Strip at southern Israeli towns in Negev desert region, security sources said.
One of the rockets was not launched and exploded at the spot. No injury was reported. The militants fled the scene.
The rocket attack came hours after the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) and militant groups agreed to stop launching homemade rockets at Israel in exchange for ending Israeli operations in the Palestinian territories.
The Palestinian Interior Ministry warned that security forces will immediately seize illegal weapons in the Gaza Strip.
