Kenya's national soccer team the Harambee Stars began preparations on Monday for the regional senior Challenge Cup in Kigali, Rwanda.

Head coach Mohammed Kheri has named a 25-member squad to start preparations.

Local-based mid-fielder Charles Okwemba has been called to the team after being ignored for a long time.

Other players coming back to the team include former local Tusker club striker Oscar Kadenge who turns out for Moro United of Tanzania and other new face is Tusker's Abubakar Yusuf.

Stars will have only ten days to prepare for the regional tournament which they last won two years ago.
