Kazakhstan to strengthen cooperation with China: FMKazakhstan will continue strengthening its ties with China on the basis of friendship and equality, and for mutual benefits, Kazakh Foreign Minister Kasymzhomart Kemelevich Tokayev said on Monday. Tokayev said the Kazakh-Chinese relations have developed to an unprecedented level. The two countries have expanded their trade cooperation continuously and worked together on many international issues. Kazakhstan's complete settlement of border disputes guarantees the country's security and offers new prospects for boosting cooperation with China and other neighboring nations, Tokayev added. The comments came when Tokayev was addressing to the lower house of the parliament on Kazakhstan's priorities in its foreign policy. The minister said Kazakhstan will strive to develop good relations with all countries and take an active part in international organizations. To side with one party alone is a dangerous option for Kazakhstan as it brings no security and interests to the country, he added. Kazakhstan will make maximum efforts to strengthen strategic partnership with Russia and promote cooperation with the United States on the basis of existing agreements, Tokayev said. Source: Xinhua |
