A small explosion rattled offices of British Airways and British Petroleum companies in Tehran on Wednesday, causing minor damage but no casualty, police said.
The explosion destroyed a door near the explosive device with a weak charge, but the buildings of the two companies were spared.
The official IRNA news agency said that the bomb, defined as " hand-made," blasted on the 10th floor of Sayeh building in the north of the city, where offices of British Airways and British Petroleum are set.
The incident came after tension between Iran and the West ran high due to Tehran's reluctance to re-suspend its sensitive nuclear activities and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's recent anti-Israel remarks.
The British Embassy and offices of British enterprises in Tehran have in recent years become the target of Iranian extremists whenever there were fluctuations in relations between Iran and the West.
On Aug. 2, offices of British Airways and British Petroleum witnessed a similar bombing, which damaged some facilities but caused no casualty.
