French Foreign Minister Philip Douste- Blazy said on Wednesday that it would refer Iran's nuclear issue to the UN Security Council if Teheran does not suspend uranium enrichment.
He said before the French parliament that France would seek for international community's unity at the Nov. 24 meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
"France, Britain and Germany have made proposals to Iran to negotiate a new page of relationship between Europe and Iran," he reminded.
But if the Iranian don't want it or don't listen to it, "then there will be firmness and there will be a return to (IAEA director Mohamed) ElBaradei's report to the United Nations Security Council," he said.
Iran's new president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has ruled out a suspension of nuclear activities, insisting that his country had a right to pursue a civilian nuclear energy program.
