Major Vietnamese newspapers on Thursday highly appreciated the outcomes of the freshly-ended visit to Vietnam by Chinese President Hu Jintao, saying that it will bring the Vietnam-China friendly and cooperative ties to a new height.
"The visit finely ended. Its successes will bring the friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties and two countries to a new height, actively contributing to peace, stability, development and cooperation in the region and the world, " the daily People said in an editorial entitled "Vivid manifestation of the Vietnam-China cooperation at the new height."
During talks and meetings with Hu, Vietnamese leaders, who stressed the visit's important significance, expressed their belief that the trip will bring the Vietnam-China relations to a new height under the motto "long-term stability, future orientation, good neighborliness, all-round cooperation," it said, adding that they also affirmed Vietnam's party, state and people always give priorities to beefing up the stable and cooperative ties with China.
The daily People's Army also said that the visit has concluded but its significance is still widely talked about, becoming a focus on many newspapers of the two countries and the world.
The visit is not only one of normal exchanging high-level delegation activities between the two countries but also a breakthrough in the bilateral ties which have been deepened and broadened, it said.
The three-day visit, which concluded on Wednesday, will create a new opportunity for the friendly ties and multi-faceted cooperation, bringing about practical benefits for the two countries and contributing to the construction of a peaceful and prosperous world.
