Diego Maradona Thursday held a meeting with President of the Argentine Soccer Federation (AFA) Julio Grondona to agree on his incorporation as members of the technical team of the national team coached by Jose Pekerman, and said "all is moving on right path".
"I beg to God for it to become a reality," said Maradona who went to AFA's headquarters where he held a meeting with Grondona, Pekerman and his aide Hugo Tocalli.
Maradona said "there are things to define yet" for "the role I will play is yet to be defined."
He also admitted he analyses the possibility of observing two friendly matches Argentina will play versus England, on November 12 at Geneva, Switzerland, and four days later against Qatar, at Doha.
He also admitted to the press that if he had to leave his post as Soccer Department Director of Boca Juniors, he will do it.
In this sense, he said he looks forward at doing something similar to what Jurgen Klinsman and Franz Beckenbauer do in Germany, and said "we have great chances, great players and we need a World Cup."
Prior to his meeting, Maradona said to the television that player Juan Sebastian Veron (Inter, Italy) "needs a chance" in the national team.
