Bush leaves Argentina for Brazil visit
font size

US President George W. Bush left Mar Del Plata on Saturday for a visit to Brazil after the conclusion of the fourth Summit of the Americas.

Bush is expected to stay in Brazil on November 5-6. Bush will then travel to Panama on November 6-7 to meet with President Martin Torrijos Espino.

During the fourth Summit of the Americas held in the beach resort Argentine city, Bush held talks with Argentine President Nestor Kirchner and a number of counterparts in the continent.

At the Summit of the Americas, Bush pushed to revive talks on establishing a hemisphere-wide Free Trade Area of the Americas. However, he made little progress due to sharp disagreements with Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.
