53 websites investigated and punished for pornographic contents

As is learnt from The General Administration of Press and Publication, 53 websites have been investigated and punished for offering download services for 14 online games involving pornographic and violent contents.

The 14 online games banned for pornographic and violent contents are The3FeelOnline, Singles, Blood Ryane 2, Rengon, Nurse 24 and 7 Sins, etc.

To further regulate Internet publication, the General Administration of Press and Publication has demanded close cooperation from press and publication bureaus and telecommunication departments at various levels so as to conduct an overall checkup over key online games and cyber literature websites, and urge websites involving in online publication to exercise self-checkups, forbidding the spread of pornographic contents via Internet.

So far, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press and Publication has investigated and punished websites spreading online games containing pornographic and violent contents, ordered them to delete related web pages and links. Meanwhile, these websites have been listed as the key targets for future close supervision.
