font size

The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Lanzhou Area Command plans to recruit more people with special skills that are badly needed by the armed forces, according to military sources.

According to the plan of the PLA Lanzhou Area Command, it will recruit 1,150 drivers and 6,000 people with professional skills in the fields of telecommunications, information technology and maintenance.

So far, over 3,000 young people with driving skills have applied for the recruitment, the sources said.

To recruit people with professional skills can save eight months for them to become qualified service people, said an officer with the PLA Lanzhou Area Command.

The PLA Lanzhou Area Command covers and makes its recruitment in five northwestern provinces of Xinjiang, Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi and Qinghai.
