Ferrari and ALDAR Properties PJSC, a leading property development company in the United Arab Emirates, have agreed to build a theme park dedicated to the Italian sports car in Abu Dhabi, local media reported Monday.
The park, set to open in 2008 with a full-sized race track, will provide entertainment for families with numerous rides and attractions,said a statement posted on Ferrari's website.
Visitors will be able to learn the story and history of Ferrari, participate in Ferrari motoring activities and experience the Ferrari brand through virtual simulations, said the statement.
The state-of-the-art track will be used to stage tests, driving courses as well as real races, it said.
The project will also include hotels, retail outlets and residences which "embrace the design ethics of the Ferrari brand," it said.
