President Hu stresses HK's long-term stability and prosperity: Tsang

Chinese President Hu Jintao stressed the long-term stability and prosperity of Hong Kong on Friday in Busan, the Republic of Korea, according to a Hong Kong government press release.

Hu made the remark during a breakfast meeting with the Chief Executive of Hong Kong Donald Tsang when Tsang berifed the president on the latest social, economic and political situation of Hong Kong.

The Chief Executive told the reporters that President Hu is familiar with Hong Kong matters and appreciates very well Hong Kong's economic performance.

Tsang also joined leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation economies at their annual meeting to discuss a wide range of trade issues aimed at advancing free trade.
