HK commercial chief starts trade talk with AU

Hong Kong senior official John Tsang will leave HK Monday to Tanzania for talks with the African Union (AU) Conference of Ministers of Trade before WTO ministerial meeting in Hong Kong next month.

According to Hong Kong government, ministers attending the conference will work towards a common position on individual issues under Doha Development Agenda (DDA) in preparation for the Sixth Ministerial Conference (MC6) of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Hong Kong.

The four-day conference will discuss a number of issues including agriculture, services, non-agricultural market access and environment.
