China to enhance cooperation with Argentina in infrastructure, agriculture
font size

China will enhance cooperation with Argentina in the construction of railway, bridges, power stations and motorways, as well as agricultural projects, said Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai Thursday in Beijing.

In his meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Rafael Bielsa of Argentina, Bo said that Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to Argentina last year created good conditions for Sino-Argentina economic and trade cooperation.

Argentina has acknowledged China's market economy status, which makes Chinese enterprises more confident about the cooperative prospect with Argentina, he said.

The trade and investment understanding memorandum signed by the two countries last year has shown a positive effect, said Bielsa. China has become the largest trade partner of Argentina, he said.

He welcomed more Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in Argentina, saying his country attached great importance to economic ties with China.
