Dwyane Wade matched a season-high 33 points and Jason Williams chipped in with 18 points and six assists to lead Miami Heat to a 107-94 home win over the New York Knicks on Monday.

James Posey added 19 points, helped by five three-pointers and Alonzo Mourning scored nine points, grabbed seven rebounds and equalled his own franchise record with nine blocked shots as the Heat snapped a two-game losing skid.

Still without injured centre Shaquille O'Neal, the victory was the Heat's second in five games.

Stephon Marbury gained 19 points and six assists as the Knicks lost for the fourth time in six games.

Miami took the lead midway through the opening quarter and never trailed again, leading 29-20 after the first session and 65-39 going into the half-time intermission.

The Heat maintained their cushion through the third quarter (87-62) and were never challenged as they cruised through the final 12 minutes to a comfortable win.

In Toronto, Dirk Nowitzki bagged a game-high 29 points and Jason Terry added 26, including the game-winning jumper at the buzzer, to earn the Dallas Mavericks a 93-91 win over the struggling Raptors.

Chris Bosh scored 26 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in the loss as the Raptors absorbed their fifth straight defeat to fall to 1-14 .

Leading by six points with two minutes to play, the Raptors had look poised to record their second win of the season but could not hang on as the Mavericks rallied behind back-to-back three-pointers from Nowitzki to pull Dallas even at 89-89.

Nowitzki then drained the go-ahead basket, only to have Matt Bonner answer at the other end for Toronto to tie the game at 91-91 with two seconds left on the clock.

With Raptors supporters on their feet, Marquis Daniels inbounded the ball to Terry who put up the game winner at the buzzer.

In Boston, Steve Francis poured in 19 points and Jameer Nelson added 16, including nine in the final quarter, as the Orlando Magic topped the Celtics 87-83 to extend their winning streak to four games.

Dwight Howard contributed a double-double for the Magic with 10 points and 10 rebounds and also produced a key block in the final seconds to preserve the win.

In Denver, Vince Carter had 25 points and Richard Jefferson added 24 in helping the New Jersey Nets to a 101-92 win over the Nuggets.

It was just the second loss in 27 regular-season home games for the Nuggets under coach George Karl, who took over on January 27.

In Oakland, Baron Davis, Derek Fisher and Jason Richardson all had 17 points as the Golden State Warriors cruised past the New Orleans Hornets 99-83 for their third straight win.
